The Traumatic Stress Institute fosters the transformation of organizations and service systems to trauma-informed care (TIC) through the delivery of whole-system consultation, professional training, coaching, and research.

TSI Measures Related to Trauma-Informed Care

TRAUMA-INFORMED BELIEF SCALE is a 19-item measure developed by the Traumatic Stress Institute that assesses staff attitudes favorable to trauma-informed care. Considerable empirical research has been done on this measure. A research project is underway in collaboration with Tulane University Department of Clinical Psychology to revise this measure and strenghten its psychometric properties.

STAFF BEHAVIOR IN THE TREATMENT PROGRAM is a 12-item measure developed by the Traumatic Stress Institute that assesses self-reported staff behavior favorable to trauma-informed care. It has also been used extensively in our research.
