In the late 1990s, I was aware that the trauma field was growing and that most of our knowledge was being used to help individuals in psychotherapy. I was also aware that there were so many people who would never be reached by psychotherapy. When the opportunity came to create a training curriculum for people who work with trauma survivors in non-clinical settings, I was very excited.
