The Traumatic Stress Institute fosters the transformation of organizations and service systems to trauma-informed care (TIC) through the delivery of whole-system consultation, professional training, coaching, and research.

In 2016, the journal Child Maltreatment published an entire special issue on trauma-informed care. An important rationale for the issue was to address a gap in the TIC field — notably that, despite widespread implementation and funding of TIC, the concept is still not well defined and there is very little empirical evidence for it efficacy. Here is the introduction to the special issue.
